Hey Mamas - How to have a holly jolly Christmas

Published over 1 year ago • 6 min read

Hey mamas!

Wow! We are officially in year 2 of this newsletter. For all of those who have joined me these past 12 months, thank you for being a part of the journey. I hope you’ve found it to be a small help in your parenting adventure. And for those of you who have referred other mamas along the way, I greatly appreciate your help in growing this community. To close out 2022, I wanted to hit you with an exciting update, a slightly new format, and as always, as many tips and helpful bits as I can pack in.

The exciting news is that we are expecting baby number 2 this May! We’re obviously thrilled to welcome another little one into the mix but I’m also eager to step into a new chapter of motherhood with all of you. Just as we’ve been figuring out how to be new mamas together, I’m looking forward to continuing our learning journey as we grow our families.

That brings me to the second note - a slightly new format. As we go into the second year of this newsletter I want to shift the focus to both tips for raising our kiddos but also navigating motherhood. If there’s one thing I’ve learned in becoming a mom, it’s that the process is one of continual transformation. There’s so much to explore and it feels right to give us a little more love.

Lastly, for this month I wanted to pass along some hopefully useful tips and resources. We’ll focus on the obvious - the holidays - what to ask for, how to navigate complex schedules, and how to create the most positive experience for you and your families. Without further ado, let’s dive in!

Hey mamas! This month we’re mixing it up a bit. Instead of delivering tips for taking care of your littles, I wanted to make this newsletter all about you. We’re a couple of weeks out from Mother’s Day which means there is still plenty of time to prepare. This newsletter is all about making sure you get the day you deserve. Growing up my mom considered Mother’s Day the highest of holidays. We always did something to celebrate. Admittedly, I never really understood how she could rank MD above...

Hey mamas! Happy March! How are y’all? Does anyone else feel like this year is already starting to fly by?! We are 2 months out from welcoming our second baby and I cannot fathom where the time has gone. I’m always looking to my community of moms for recommendations on what topics to cover that would be the most helpful. Which car seats and strollers we own and why we chose them is one of those topics I get asked about on repeat. These purchases have been some of my most fraught as a new mom....

Hey mamas! Happy New Year! Yay, to making it through the holidays, travel, and all the stress that December seems to bring. Personally, I feel like it’s taken me the last couple of weeks just to settle back into reality. Our tree finally came down along with the rest of our Christmas decorations. All of Libby's new toys have been broken in and put away. And, a resolve to make up for all the holiday indulging has officially taken hold. In short, January has finally found its footing and its...
